๐Ÿ•ด๏ธThe G of the Week: Suli Ali

Suli Ali quit working at Microsoft to launch his start-up, which he later sold.

Who's the G of the Week?

Suleman "Suli" Ali - saw him on the My First Million podcast.

Why is He Impressive?

  • He worked as an engineer at Microsoft and quit to start his own company, building Facebook apps and becoming genuine viral hits. He sold it for 7-figures.

  • Then, he created TinyCo, a mobile game developer with the rights to popular IPs like Harry Potter and Family Guy. Jam City bought the company for an undisclosed amount (probably 8-9 figs.)

  • He's the Deal Doula for Shaan Puri, founder of Milk Road and co-host of My First Million. Basically, when Shaan is about to sell a company, he calls Suli for advice.

What Can You Learn From Him?

  • If you're selling your business, tell the buyer all the reasons why they SHOULDN'T buy it - it builds trust.

  • Stop looking for the latest and greatest "mental models." Just focus on the basics and build from scratch.

Feel free to forward this along to friends who want to be successful G's.
